They’re called North Korean defectors. They’ve even swallowed that identity for themselves. But they’re not defectors. They’re the North Korean Church in Exile–and waking them up to what that means will blow the future and the present wide open for the Underground Church inside North Korea.
“Underground University” was prayerfully conceived to support the NK Church In Exile. The one year curriculum consists of ten modules and an internship specially developed to train North Korean Church workers to evangelize, disciple, launch, and operate repression-proof “mini-house” churches in each of the four zones in which the North Korean Church must operate: North Korea, China, South Korea, and among NK students and diplomats abroad.
Instructors will be drawn not only from South and North Korea but from the Underground Church around the world, and from Seoul USA’s own donor network.
Seoul USA donors covered 100% of the $5,000 startup and $48,000 curriculum costs necessary to successfully launch Underground U on January 3, 2009. Of the $89,000 annual operating costs, we have secured commitments totaling $70,000 a year for three years. That leaves only $19,000 a year to fully fund Underground U.
Please consider a three-year Founder’s Commitment to cover all or part of the $19,000 needed to ensure the full funding of Underground University.
